SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

​

Everyone must have

  • personal & educational interest in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Office Administration, Marketing, Retail Sales, Facilities Management, Data Networking, Human Resources, Telecommunications,  or Information Services
  • ​ability to dedicate 8 consecutive weeks of full time participation with the SIP
Applications 

QUALIFICATIONS

​​

  • have parents’ permission to participate in   the program 
  • have completed at least three years of high school
  • be in good academic standing​

 

HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

COLLEGE STUDENTS

​​​​​​​​​

  • be pursuing an undergraduate degree (Associate or Bachelor’s) at an accredited institution
  • have completed at least 2 semesters of a collegiate program
  • have a declared major
  • be in good academic standing with your university  or college
  • possess U.S. Citizenship​

 

VETERANS

  • must be transitioning from service in Afghanistan or Iraq 
  • have education or skills related to Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Office Administration, Marketing, Retail Sales, Facilities Management, Data Networking, Human Resources, Telecommunications, and Information Services.

Everyone

Write a letter of Interest to CGS describing yourself, listing your personal and academic goals (present & future)



ATTACH:



If a High School Graduate please provide:

  • a Professional Resume describing work experiences and listing academic course taken

  • high school transcripts ​

  • government issued I.D. that demonstrates  U.S. citizenship

  • two or three recommendation letters (from a college professor/counselor, former/current supervisor, mentor, or personal/professional contact

  • letter from a parent giving permission to participate in the program



If a College Student

  • a Professional Resume describing work experiences and listing academic course load (classes taken within major)

  • academic transcripts

  • government issued I.D. that demonstrates   U.S. citizenship

  • two or three recommendation letters from a high school teacher/counselor, college professor/counselor, former/current supervisor, mentor, or personal/professional contact

If a Veteran

  • Long Form DD-214 (more next page)

  • a Professional Resume describing work experiences and listing academic course load (classes taken within major) and/or specialized training received or experience

  • academic transcripts from university or college and/or certificates from specialized training or experiences

  • government issued I.D. that demonstrates U.S. citizenship
